About Us

Awakening Church is led by Pastor Jordan & Samantha Boyce. The Church began 30 years ago as New Life Worship Center with Pastor Steve & Nancy Boyce. Pastor Jordan & Samantha have a passion to show Jesus to the world. We believe we are called to push, pray, and pioneer into what God has in store for us. We are thankful for all God has done and excited for what He is continuing to do through us! Unstoppable will always be our nature.

Our Leadership

Lead Pastors

Pastor Jordan and Samantha Boyce

Pastor Jordan and Samantha have been leading in ministry for over 15 years, with a passion and love for the local church. They have three children.

We Are a Presence Driven Church

I. The Church

Church

"And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ." Ephesians 4:11-12

II. The Oil

Anointing Oil

"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." James 5:14-15

III. The Water

Baptism

"And Peter said to them, 'Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:38

IV. The Word

The Bible

"The Word equals our weapon of warfare in life. “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword…” Hebrews 4:12

V. The Cross

Salvation

"Jesus is the One. Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” Matthew 16:24

VI. Communion

Body & The Blood

"And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.' And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, 'This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood." Luke 22:19-20

VII. Fire

Holy Spirit

"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." John 14:26

Apostle’s Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth; I believe in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary, He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again.

He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Statement of Faith

We believe in the authenticity of the Bible as God-given

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness”  2 Timothy 3:16

We believe in the one true God who has revealed Himself in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” Matthew 28:19

We believe in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone, that mankind is sinful and unable to attain righteousness through human effort

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

In the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a real experience, a second work of grace with salvation being the first .

“For John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” Acts 1:5

In the miraculous power of God and in the spiritual gifts as displayed in the early Church.

“Now many signs and wonders were regularly done among the people by the hands of the apostles. And they were all together in Solomon’s Portico.” Acts 5:12

In the importance of water baptism and a born-again life

“And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.” Acts 22:16

In the literal, second coming of Christ at the end of the age

“For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done.” Matthew 16:27

In the reality of the devil and his destiny in the lake of fire

“And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” Revelation 20:10

In one universal church composed of many local churches made up of dedicated believers with unity in mission

“From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.” Matthew 11:12
