[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]We serve a God that has the power to bring miracles to our everyday life. The Bible shows this clearly in John 2, when Jesus turned water into wine.
This story illustrates Jesus’ power to perform miracles and do them in ways we would never expect. When the wine ran out at the wedding, Mary asked Jesus to intervene:
“Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so.”
John 2:7-8
Jesus received the empty jars, had the servants fill them with water, and then He transformed the water into wine. This is a picture of how Jesus works in your life:
- He calls you
- He fills you
- He changes you
- Then he pours you out
One thing you must know about God is that He operates in the impossible, and that there’s nothing He can’t do. If you want to walk with the Lord, you have to…
1. Understand His ways are miraculous
2. Adjust your faith to live that way yourself
Unfortunately, most Christians live everyday in the natural, never venturing into the world of faith. They stay firmly planted in the state of the possible—the probable. People don’t attempt anything big because they think it’s too hard—or can’t be done—and they self-fulfill their own limitations.
They don’t fully understand the supernatural so they go back to the natural. But, the good news is that God will work with you to bring about the miraculous in your everyday.
The formula for living life in the everyday miraculous goes something like this:
Faith believes in Jesus then Jesus works through miracles.
Jesus works through miracles in numerous places throughout the Bible:
- When taxes need to be paid, He pulls them out of a fish’s mouth
- When the crowd needs to be fed, He breaks up a loaf of bread
- When he needs to get across the lake, He walks across it
Jesus doesn’t HAVE TO do things in miraculous ways, He chooses to. The process of making wine is long and highly labor intensive (much like your life). But Jesus jumped over all the time and labor to make the best wine at the wedding.
Do you have faith for Him to work in your life His way?
Every Christian can live and move everyday in the miraculous, IF they truly live by faith. Faith is a combination of “trusting” and “knowing” Jesus.
In order for a miracle to occur, faith must come first. If you know that He can do something about your situation, then have the faith to see the miraculous. We must first trust and believe that God can make a change happen, then we must ask Him to step in and do what only He can.
The first great miracle at the Wedding occurred because Jesus was invited. If Jesus is invited, the miraculous is present.
Once Jesus is present, you must then be attentive to what He tells you to do next. He will usually tell you to do something simple, but in order for it to be a miracle it requires faith and obedience. We must be aware and obedient to what He calls us to do or else we may miss the miracle that He has for us.
If you have Faith, and Jesus is the center of your life—the best is on its way.
Are you ready for the everyday miraculous?
