“No one can see the kingdom of God without being born again.” John 3:3
When Jesus spoke these words he was talking about a spiritual rebirth. This rebirth occurs when you ask God for forgiveness for your sins and invite the Holy Spirit to come into your life. At that moment, a shift begins to occur; the Holy Spirit begins to change you from the inside out, and things that were once important to you become insignificant. The things of the spirit begin to dominate us and we take on a mind of the spirit.
When I became born-again, God invaded my life in such a powerful way that everything about me began to change. It’s an experience that’s difficult to put into words. I began to live, think, act, and speak differently. When we’re saved, the way we live our lives begin to reflect that decision. We can’t change on our own, we need an encounter with the Holy Spirit.
We all need to experience being born again and this experience is available for everyone! We could have everything we think we want and need in life but until you’re spiritually reborn, you’ll always feel like you’re missing something. People often look at life in the natural and miss what’s happening in the spirit.
It’s easy to cover yourself with religion, but you must be born a second time in order to experience the fullness of God and his plans for your life. To be born again means that God “will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you” (Ezekiel 36:26). Once you’ve made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you must leave your old life behind in order to experience the newness of this life that he so freely offers.
“Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2
